me playing with the self timer and a burberry scarf

Well, here they are, my first attempt ever to use the self-timer on my camera, a tripod and of course, a little D-I-Y fashion. Now, I love this skirt to bits ( which is almost the condition it is in), and it was formerly a resident of my dressing up chest. My sister was sorting through it and viola!! She found that skirt and was about to throw it out, but I snatched it away, and rescued it. It makes me feel very Scottish, and it is just the sort of skirt that I love because it can be worn up high with a big belt. I love photography, especially if the subject is my sister or I, and I can often be found taking pictures in my room of various new outfits and styles I am trying out. Not being much of a make-up person, I experiment a lot with clothes and how to wear them. So, yesterday, I was just fooling around as usual, when I discovered that my mother's 25 year old Burberry scarf looked really cool tucked under my belt and skirt. The contrasting patterns, which are similar but different in colour, I think, pulls the outfit together. But my favourite part of this outfit is the shoes and socks. The 3 inch black high heels are my most lovely shoes ever, and the socks, well, I just love them so much I had to add them in. Most people would consider socks and heels a fashion no no, almost as bad as socks with sandals, but I like to believe that there is always an exception. So try whatever you want together, and if you feel confident, then it is sure to look great!! <3

Top shop

Gotta love it. Found these on the website (www.topshop.com). Using bright colours and great poses, the pictures are very fun and inviting. The pictures are from the High Summer Shoot. The first time I ever went to Top Shop was on the internet. Living in Canada can be very hard fashion wise, especially when you don't live a big city. So I do some of my shopping online. Having lived in Britain for 5 years when I was young, and because all of my family is there, I love the fashion lines there ( especially M&S). A year later, on a holiday to Britain, we went shopping, and found a Topshop. I spent ages in there, finally picking out a nice pair of boots. I love them still, although they don't really fit now. I love the models in this shoot because of all the colors they are wearing and the variety of poses and clothing in the shoot.

Harajuku Girls

Their unique sense of style has made the area in Tokyo internationally known. It gave Gwen Stefani the inspiration for a fashion line, which is immensely popular ( I love my own tote bag from the line). These young women styles range from rocker, punk, goth to pink, princess, feminine. Covered in sparkles, safety pin, hair clip, lace, bows, high heels, died hair, unique clothing and coloured contacts, these Harajuku girls are a sight to be seen.
